Today is Thanksgiving here in Canada and I’d like to wish all my Canadian family and friends around the world a happy Thanksgiving! My card is for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge HYCCT05 to use twine and since all my challenge cards will be mailed out together at the end of October, this will make a fun American Thanksgiving card for any one of the patients at MD Anderson in November. I used an adorable Pink Cat Studio digi from last year called Turkey Family. This image just cracks me up and the poults are adorable! Since the image is so busy and already contains the sentiment, all I did was create a basket weave background and let the those turkeys speak for themselves. It was difficult holding back because I kept wanting to add something but I’m glad I left all that white space. 🙂

  1. Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your family, Emily! I didn't realise that Canada had a Thanksgiving holiday as well as the US until I saw it on someone's blog aerlier today – being a Brit I'm not very clued up with all the different holidays! I love this card – and the woven background on the white space is a great way to set off that fantastic image!

  2. The background and coloring rock, but I especially admire your artful and accurate use of the word "poults." Don't see that one too often!

Happy Thanksgiving! I may have a little something for you on the ol' blog sometime soon 🙂

  3. Stop it! I love it! I love the pink nekkid poults (and my new word of the day)! The basketweave background is awesome, too.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving dinner & a great Thanksgiving day today!
