I thought I would throw my hat in the ring for the Summer CAS DT on Splitcoaststampers. I don’t expect to win by any means because the field of talent is so deep but I thought it would be a lot of fun to participate and see how far I get. 😉 So let’s get inspired, shall we? The first DT Challenge is to create a bright and cheery card featuring a person, character or group and add a bit of bold, flashy ribbon. For my card I decided to feature a pondering Lily framed by a gorgeous European-style window. I masked off the panes and actually cut out a second set to place on the sides like shutters. I left them off in the end because it made the card look too busy and overwhelmed the sentiment. If I had made the card horizontal, the panes would’ve worked well with a larger sentiment. For the bows in Lily’s hair, I had to colour some pale yellow ribbon using my Copics. This was the first time I tried my Copics on ribbon and it worked very well. Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is lovely!
