A while back I mentioned that I didn’t have any decent birthday stamps and I had my eye on Wishing You from Verve for some time. I needed some stamps with large classic fonts and this was that set. I arrived in the mail yesterday and I was so excited to ink it up but my back was hurting so much that I couldn’t get into a stamping mood even though I knew what I wanted to do with it! Thank goodness I felt better this morning and had a bit of time to stamp.

I’ve been seeing a lot of giant floral images lately in the blogosphere and love the way they look but I don’t have any…yet. So this is what happens when I don’t have a big flower image to stamp with. I decided to stitch a giant daisy. At first I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. Would I follow a pattern or stitch freehand? Well, freehand could be disastrous. LOL I punched out an oval and used that as a template for the petals. It’s not perfect but I love the result.
