Welcome to Day 2 of Technique Tuesday‘s February 2019 Release Blog Hop! The design team is featuring a variety of release products and you’re sure to love them so be sure to head over to the Technique Tuesday blog for the full reveal and links to all of the amazing projects. All of the amazing new products are now available for purchase!
Today, I’m featuring the Lots of Sentiments stamp set, along with the Kind Cosmos stamp set and coordinating dies. This card was a labour of love and also frustration because I messed it up three times! However, the layered die cuts and dry embossing details would not have made it on to this card if it weren’t for the first two mistakes. 😉

First, I stamped the four sentiments in three different blues down the centre of the card. I used my MISTI stamping tool to help me line these up and keep them centred.

Next, I set stamped the Kind Cosmos around the outer edge of the panel to create a frame. I used two shades of coral and two shades of orange. All of my ink colours are listed in the supply list below.

On my first attempt, I smudged one of the sentiments. On my second attempt, I smudged one of the flowers! I decided to selectively die cut some of the flowers to cover the smudged flower. I also added some dry embossing to create two layers of visual interest on this otherwise clean and simple design.

Be sure to hop along for more inspiration featuring products from the February 2019 Release and leave comments at each stop to increase your chance of winning one of three $20 gift certificates to the Technique Tuesday store.

Thanks so much for hopping along with us!

  1. This card certainly worked out beautifully by the end of all your struggles! (Smudging, ugh.) Pretty colours and perfect design with the dry embossing and die cuts!

  2. Sometimes mistakes and correction make for a most fabulous card and this is the case with your card, it came out gorgeous! I love the Kind Cosmos set but probably would not have thought of using them for a border like that, very cool look and very cool card. Thanks for sharing the card and your mistakes/corrections lol the inspiration is awesome!! ([email protected])
