Hi, everyone! Kalyn and I are back with our video series, Two Many Cards. If you missed our other videos in this series, check out the original post HERE, which explains how and why we’re sharing our own unique take on the same products.
Today, we’re featuring Peek-a-Boo Pals by Avery Elle! The little panda stole my heart the first time I saw this set and I couldn’t wait to create with it. I wanted to make these little critters more life-like by using them with four paws, instead of two.
I use the landscape dies from a retired set called Snow Caps to create the tree trunk. Alternatives to the Snow Caps set are Picket Fence and Woodland Wonders.
I stamped the panda, koala and sloth using Archival ink on watercolour cardstock. Then I coloured them with distress inks. I also used distress inks to sponge the tree trunk and background.
I used shimmer mist to splatter the background, wicking away the colour, resulting in beautiful shimmery specks.
By using four paws to wrap the animals around the tree trunk, they really come alive and create movement along the length of the card.
I had so much fun making this one and I look forward to making horizontal, birthday versions of this!
