Hi everyone! If you’ve been following along on Instagram, I’m playing along with Kathy Racoosin’s 30-Day Colouring Challenge and these are the cards for today, featuring Otterly Awesome and Tree Farm. My friends Angela, Lindsey and I are all using the same sets all month long for this challenge and it’s been so much fun. I urge you to join in and crank up your creative juices!
I coloured all three otter images from Otterly Awesome, as well as the holiday accessories from Tree Farm. Then I paired up the accessories and sentiments with the otters to create two cards for different occasions. I just love how those two sets go so well together!
The first one will be a holiday card and the second will go to my husband on his next business trip.
To create the backgrounds, I used a 4×5 acrylic block and smooshed distress inks on it then misted it with shimmer spray, before placing it against the watercolour panel. Once it dried, I splattered a contrasting colour that was also used to colour the images.
