I’m featuring the Summer Lovin Icons today, which coordinate with the Summer Lovin stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in the corner and used the Stitched dies to create hills in the background. In honour of the bright, pretty colours of summer, I used three distress inks and a large acrylic block to smoosh a sunset on the background.
I used Xyron’s High-Tack Adhesive Dots to attached most of the die cuts on to the watercoloured background. The bird, crab and conque shell were popped up with foam tape.
After all the elements were attached to the base, I covered them with scrap paper and used black, grey and white mists to create splatter. Then I attached some sparkling clear sequins to create the illusion of beach pebbles.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love your card–colorful, cheerful, cool, cute and clever! I like your use of the sequins to create the "illusion" of sand pebbles. <3

What a perfect card to see on a dark, dreary, rainy day! Great little tropical scene. Mmm, tropics… 😀
Oh, this is lovely like a summer day! Your use of the images and colors is so artistic. I have that stamp set and now I want to get the dies so I can try out your techniques. Thank you for the great explanation.
