Welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook Designs September Release! Today, the Design Team is featuring Magical Dreams. In the fantasy world, there are a lot of castles so it’s what I thought of when I saw this stamp set. I decided to make a boy’s birthday card using the owl and one of the sentiments.
As soon as my son saw this card, he asked me if he could have it. 😉 I cut the card base using a castle card cut file and my Cameo. Then I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the owl and perched it on one of the turrets. I masked off the sentiment and stamped each line separately on to silk ribbon. The ink didn’t bleed until the next day so I would probably experiment with different inks for future stamping on silk ribbon.

Oh my goodness. The castle shape? Brilliant! It's the perfect perch for the owl. I can see why you son wanted the card. 😉
The castle is really nice. Putting Mr. Owl on one of turrets worked out well. I'm sure your son appreciated his card. Makes you feel good when somebody asks for something you've made.
